Guido Graffione

Guido Graffione has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Guido currently holds the position of Group Head of Data Architecture & Governance at Nexi Group, starting in 2023.

Prior to this role, from 2022 to 2023, they worked at UniCredit as the Head of Business Intelligence Center of Excellence.

From 2018 to 2022, Guido held several positions at Nexi, including Head of Data Architecture & Data Governance, Head of Enterprise Data Architecture, and Head of Enterprise Architecture.

Before joining Nexi, from 2015 to 2018, they were an Executive Senior Manager at Deloitte, responsible for various projects involving big data and analytics in the financial service industry.

In 2014, they worked as an Executive Delivery Manager at HP, managing a business intelligence program for an Italian telecom operator.

From 2011 to 2014, Guido was the Head of Data at WeBank (Gruppo Bipiemme), where they established and managed the BI team and tools for delivering business insights.

Prior to that, from 2006 to 2011, they held multiple roles at HP, including Delivery Manager, Business Intelligence Program Manager, and Client Program Manager.

From 2002 to 2006, Guido worked at Bain & Company as a Manager and Senior Consultant, specializing in decision support systems and corporate data warehousing in the banking sector.

Guido started their career in 1999 as an Officer (Ensign) in the Marina Militare Italiana. Guido Graffione has gained extensive experience in various aspects of data architecture, governance, business intelligence, and analytics throughout their career.

Guido Graffione has a diverse education history and has pursued multiple certifications in various fields. Guido started their education at the Istituto Salesiano Don Bosco, where they completed their high school education in Information Technology from 1986 to 1992. Following this, they attended the Università degli Studi di Genova from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering. In 1999, they briefly attended the Accademia Navale and obtained the rank of Ensign.

In addition to their formal education, Guido Graffione has also pursued several certifications. Guido obtained the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate certification from Oracle in August 2004. Guido further expanded their knowledge and expertise by obtaining various certifications from Microsoft and Oracle in subjects like cloud computing, data analytics, and database management. Some of the certifications they hold include Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2021 Certified Architect Associate.
