Simon Buchwaldt

Simon Buchwaldt has extensive experience in strategy and innovation roles within the financial services industry. Simon is currently the Head of Strategy and Portfolio for Global Product at Nexi Group, where they are responsible for various functional areas including analysis, strategy, lean portfolio management, and product marketing. Prior to their role at Nexi Group, Simon worked at Nets Group, where they held several positions, including Vice President of Strategy and Transformation, Senior Director of Product Strategy and Market Intelligence, and Director of Innovation Strategy and Business Development. Simon also has experience in corporate strategy and digital practices. Before entering the financial services industry, Simon worked as a management consultant at Catalyst Strategy Consulting, specializing in strategy and innovation. Simon also had previous experience in business and market analysis and logistics and freight forwarding. Simon is highly skilled in driving strategic initiatives, leading teams, and fostering innovation within organizations.

Simon Buchwaldt has a diverse education history. In 1996, they attended Gjellerup Skolen, but the duration of their studies is unknown. From 1997 to 2001, they studied at Herning Gymnasium, focusing on linguistics and mathematics.

Simon went on to Copenhagen Business School, where they pursued a B.Sc. in International Business from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, they continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in HA-Almen, in 2006.

During 2005, they took MBA courses at Queen's University in Canada. In 2006, Simon enrolled at Copenhagen Business School again and completed an M.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics, specializing in Strategic Market Creation, in 2008.

In recent years, Simon has participated in executive programs. In 2017, they attended the Singularity University Executive Program, focusing on Exponential Technology & Strategy in Mountain View. In 2018, they completed the Executive Program in Corporate Level Strategy at Harvard Business School in Boston.

In addition to their formal education, Simon has obtained several certifications. In 2020, they became a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist and a Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. In 2022, they obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Agile Product Manager certification from the same institution.
