Troy D. Hector has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Troy D. started their career in 1992 as the owner of 10wire Computing Solutions, a company they successfully operated until 2019. In 2004, they joined Express One Mortgage as the Director of Information Technology, where they served until 2010. In 2020, they joined NexMetro Communities as the Director of Information Technology and later in 2022, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Information Technology. Troy has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field, with a focus on leadership and driving technological advancements within organizations.

Troy D. Hector attended the University of Arizona from 1988 to 1992, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems/Information Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Troy obtained the following: "Cybersecurity Awareness: Phishing and Whaling" from LinkedIn in October 2021, "Be the Manager People Won't Leave" from LinkedIn in September 2021, "Decision-Making Strategies" from LinkedIn in June 2021, and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in December 2020.
