Walter Vinicius Nico da Costa

Walter Vinicius Nico da Costa has a strong background in supply chain management and business development. Walter Vinicius currently holds the position of Head of New Businesses Development at Mevo, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, Walter was a Founding Board Member and CFO at Equal from February 2020 to August 2022.

Before their time at Equal, Walter worked as the Supply Chain Director LatAm at Prometeon Tyre Group from June 2019 to February 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at Philips and Philips Lighting. Walter Vinicius served as the Supply Chain Director Brazil at both companies, leading supply chain transformations and overseeing demand planning, warehousing, transportation, and inventory planning. Walter also served as the Logistics & Order Desk Senior Manager, where they implemented distribution centers, improved processes, and achieved cost reductions and increased service levels.

Earlier in their career, Walter worked at Fast Shop as the Performance Management Manager, specializing in performance monitoring, budget development, and logistics strategy. Walter Vinicius also gained experience as a Supply Chain Consultant and Projects Analyst at the Instituto de Logística e Supply Chain - ILOS/COPPEAD from 2004 to 2009.

Walter Vinicius Nico da Costa pursued their education in an organized manner, with a strong focus on business management and administration. In 2002, they enrolled at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, which lasted until 2007. Following this, they attended USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialized in Strategic Business Administration. In 2019, Walter furthered their studies at the IESE Business School, pursuing a Global Executive MBA in Business Management, which concluded in 2020.
