Carmen Cotofana has extensive work experience in the field of semiconductor engineering. Carmen is currently working as a Senior Principal Quality Engineer at Nexperia since February 2017. Prior to that, they held the same position at NXP Semiconductors, starting in May 2015. Carmen also worked as a Principal Reliability Engineer at NXP Semiconductors from June 2011 to May 2015. Carmen has also worked as a Consultant at the Nuclear Research Group from June 2010 to June 2011. Before joining the Nuclear Research Group, they worked at NXP Semiconductors in various capacities, including Principal Reliability Engineer from January 2008 to June 2010. Carmen also served as a Principal Packaging and Assembly Engineer from March 2003 to January 2008, and as a Development Engineer Packaging and Assembly for RF systems and devices from March 1999 to March 2003. Carmen's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they specialized in low-cost, low-stress sensor packaging, completing their thesis in January 2000.
Carmen Cotofana holds a PhD in Microelectronics from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, which they obtained between 1994 and 1999. Additionally, they have a MSc in Mechanics from Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania, earned from 1979 to 1984. Carmen Cotofana also holds a Green Belt Certification (GB) from NXP Semiconductors.
