Ian Kennedy

Ian Kennedy has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles in the field of engineering and marketing. Ian began their career at I.G. Technologies in 1990 with a summer placement. Ian then worked at Raychem as an Application Engineer from July 1997 to January 1998 before joining TELECA LIMITED as a Software Developer from January 1998 to September 1998. Ian then joined Philips as a Development Engineer from September 1998 to July 2004.

In 2004, Ian started working at NXP Semiconductors as a Senior Development Engineer until 2007. Ian then transitioned to the role of Programme Manager, which they held until June 2011. From July 2011 onwards, Ian worked as a Product Marketing Manager at NXP Semiconductors.

Most recently, Ian Kennedy has been employed at Nexperia since February 2018. Ian started as a Strategic Marketing Manager and later assumed the role of Strategy Director in October 2020.

Ian Kennedy's education history includes a BSc (Hons) degree in Physics from The University of Sheffield, completed from 1990 to 1993. Ian further pursued a PhD in Physics at the University of Nottingham from 1994 to 1998. In 2007, they obtained an MSc degree in Renewable Energy Systems Technology from Loughborough University. Lastly, in 2016, Ian completed a program in Marketing Strategy & Planning, with a specialization in International Business, at Cranfield School of Management.
