Ron Parsons has a diverse work experience in the field of digital product development and consultancy. Ron has held various leadership roles in different companies.
Starting in 2008, Ron worked at Los Angeles Times as the Director of Product Development. Ron then moved to SpinMedia, Inc. in 2009, where they served as the Vice President of Product Development until 2011. At Tribune Company, Ron worked as the Senior Director of Product Development from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they joined Los Angeles Times again as the Senior Director of Digital Product Development.
Ron then worked as the Vice President of Digital Product Development at Tribune Publishing from 2014 to 2016. Ron also worked as a Consultant at Hearst Digital Media and Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK in 2016. Ron was a Consultant at DEV/CON DETECT | Ad Tech Security® from 2017 to 2018.
Recently, Ron has been working as the Head of Product and later the Vice President of Product Solutions at LAKANA, and now Nexstar Digital since 2018 and 2019 respectively. In their current role, they oversee the product strategy for Nexstar Digital's websites and consumer-facing digital experiences, with a portfolio that includes various TV stations and national news websites, as well as content management systems and toolsets.
Ron Parsons earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Arizona between 1989 and 1994. Ron later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Journalism at the same institution from 1994 to 1996.
