Melissa Stacy has extensive experience in the media industry, currently serving as the Director of Local Content Development at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since December 2016, where leadership is provided to enhance local content across multiple platforms. Previously, Melissa held the position of Assistant News Director at WFLA Newschannel 8 from August 2014 to December 2016, overseeing newsroom operations and daily news coverage. Earlier roles include serving as News Director at WSLS from August 2007 to August 2014, where management and direction were provided to a large newsroom staff, and as News Director at WNCT TV from August 2004 to August 2007, managing daily newsroom operations and personnel. Melissa also worked as Assistant News Director at Media General - WSLS TV from January 1999 to August 2007, focused on operational management and content decision-making.
