Juliet Montague is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement across various sectors. Currently serving as the Marketing and Communications Lead at Next Generation Critical Communications, Juliet is responsible for implementing communications strategies to support the Public Safety Network for emergency services. Previous roles include Strategic Communications Adviser at NZ Police, and various communications positions at Education New Zealand, the New Zealand Defence Force, and ANZ National Bank, where Juliet contributed to significant organizational changes, stakeholder management, and brand strategy. Academic credentials include a BA from Victoria University of Wellington and a Diploma in Museum Studies from Massey University.

Next Generation Critical Communications Lead Entity
The Next Generation Critical Communications Lead Entity (NGCC), Poutama Whai Tikanga Pāpāho, is the government’s leading advisor on critical communications for public safety in New Zealand. Established in 2020, the NGCC Lead Entity supports healthier, safer and more connected communities throughout New Zealand. We work with agencies and companies on programmes to enhance public safety operations through sharing innovation, developing capability and leading the implementation of change. Our team of critical communications experts and corporate professionals is responsible for the Public Safety Network Te Kupenga Marutau (PSN), one of government’s largest infrastructure initiatives. The PSN will begin to deliver modern, secure digital communications from 2023 through a new national radio network, cellular services and personal alerting for Hato Hone St John, Fire and Emergency NZ, Wellington Free Ambulance and Police.
