Kara Dailey

Product Designer - Untappd at Next Glass

Kara Dailey has a diverse work experience. Kara began their career in 2013 as a Retail Sales Associate at Urban Outfitters. In 2015, they became a Music Director and Radio DJ at WMUA 91.1 FM, where they curated the station's physical library of over 10,000 albums and intook, monitored, reviewed, organized and filed CDs. In 2017, they were a Marketing Intern at LoJack Corporation, where they coordinated and created content, mail and graphics for all marketing purposes and analyzed data for trends to tactically build campaigns and monitor results. In 2018, they were a UX Designer at the University of Michigan, where they and their team of student consultants collaborated to provide design research and user testing to better enhance citizen Interaction with the city of Fort Myers, FL government website. Kara also worked as a UX Design Consultant at Pilotly and a UX Design Research Intern at PTC. In 2019, they were a Design Assistant at Michigan Information Interaction Lab and a Graduate Student Instructor - Interaction Design at the University of Michigan - School of Information. Finally, in 2020, they became a User Experience Designer at DICK'S Sporting Goods, where they designed solutions in collaboration with other balanced product teams to empower in store teammates and delight customers with engaging, user friendly experiences. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Product Designer - Untappd at Next Glass.

Kara Dailey attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013-2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, with a minor in Information Technology. Kara then attended the University of Michigan - School of Information from 2018-2020, where they earned a Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction - UX Research and Design.
