Leo Spornstarr

Leo Spornstarr, FCAS, is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in the insurance sector. Currently serving as a Senior Ratemaking Actuary at Next Insurance since August 2025, Leo previously held the position of Senior Actuary at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where responsibilities included leading the pricing actuary for various teams, managing actuarial students, and developing tools that enhanced pricing model compliance. Leo's prior roles included Senior Actuarial Analyst on the Reserving Team at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and Actuarial Analyst in the Rate Development Team at Allianz Worldwide Partners, where significant contributions were made to regulatory filings and product development efforts. Leo holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Northwestern University.
