Randy Patten

Randy Patten's work experience begins in 1997 at AEGON/Transamerica, where they held the position of Assistant Accounting Manager. During their time there, they were responsible for financial reporting and management, including SEC Reporting, operational risk, enterprise risk, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and investment accounting. Randy remained with AEGON/Transamerica until November 2012.

Following their tenure at AEGON/Transamerica, Patten joined UFG Insurance in June 2019 as Assistant Vice President and Controller, Corporate. Randy later served as AVP of Finance and Investor Relations from May 2016 to June 2019. From November 2012 to May 2016, they held the position of Director of SEC and Financial Reporting, specializing in SEC reporting.

Patten's roles at UFG Insurance continued to expand as they became AVP, Interim Co-Chief Financial Officer, Principal Financial Officer, and Principal Accounting Officer from October 2021 to May 2022. Randy then served as AVP, Principal Accounting Officer, Controller, and Director of Investor Relations from May 2022 to July 2022.

Their most recent work experience is at Next Insurance, where they currently hold the position of VP, Chief Accounting Officer. Randy took on this leadership role in August 2022 and oversees various accounting functions such as financial reporting, payroll, treasury, investment management, and partnership accounting. Additionally, Patten leads the company's Audit Committee, Investment Committee, and Carrier Board Meetings. Randy is also a member of the company's 401K Committee.

Randy Patten obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Central College, where they attended from 1992 to 1996. Randy also holds several additional certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (certificate obtained in August 1998, non-licensed), Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (obtained in September 2015 from the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society), Associate, Annuity Products and Administration (obtained in November 2003 from LOMA), and Fellow, Life Management Institute (obtained in November 1999 from LOMA).
