Yewyin Ng

YewYin Ng has a diverse work experience in various product management roles, particularly in the technology and insurance sectors. They started their career as an Intern at Motorola Solutions in 2006, where they gained exposure to telematics. Afterward, they worked as a Firmware Engineer at SanDisk for a year before transitioning to a role as a Senior Systems Design Engineer. At SanDisk, YewYin was responsible for driving product design tradeoffs and optimizations, leading to the launch of several high-performance solid-state drives and consumer storage devices. They were also awarded five United States patents for innovations in flash memory systems optimization.

In 2016, YewYin joined Ayla Networks as an Associate Product Manager, where they redesigned development kits and the mobile application platform. They later became a Product Manager and then a Senior Product Manager, leading product management, strategy, and partnerships for the IoT Smart Home segment. During their time at Ayla, they led multiple product launches across various platforms and collaborated with key module, chipset, and smart home ecosystem partners. YewYin also played a crucial role in redesigning Ayla's technical documentation and API website, resulting in increased customer engagement and reduced support hours.

From 2021 to 2022, YewYin worked as a Senior Product Manager - Telematics at Metromile, focusing on telematics-related products. They then moved to Lemonade in 2022, where they served as a Senior Product Manager - Telematics until 2023.

Currently, YewYin is a Product Manager at Next Insurance, starting in 2023.

YewYin Ng obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. YewYin then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management and Leadership from Santa Clara University. In addition to their formal education, YewYin Ng obtained a certification in Product Management Program from the Product School in December 2015.
