Zhe An

Zhe An has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and software development. They started their career at Wuhan University as a Research Assistant from September 2010 to June 2011. They then moved on to MANTA Instruments where they worked as a Consulting Intern from June 2016 to September 2016. During this time, they designed and developed an image processing suite for nanoparticle detection and classification. Zhe An joined UC San Diego in September 2012 and worked as both a Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant until September 2018. At Experian DataLabs, Zhe An held multiple roles. They started as a Data Scientist Intern from June 2018 to September 2018. They then transitioned to a Software Development Engineer role from September 2018 to March 2020. Finally, they worked as a Data Scientist from March 2020 to January 2022. Currently, Zhe An is working at Next Insurance as a Data Scientist specialized in Machine Learning, starting in December 2021.

Zhe An's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled at Wuhan University for a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics. They completed this program in 2010. Afterward, from 2010 to 2012, Zhe An pursued a Master's degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at the same institution. Following their Master's degree, Zhe An pursued further studies and enrolled at UC San Diego in 2012. Over the course of six years, from 2012 to 2018, Zhe An obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from UC San Diego.
