Page Chen is an advisor at NEXT Integrative Minds Life Sciences Ltd. and a former author at Fielding Graduate University. Chen's work focuses on digital literacy and mentorship communication in higher education.
Chen's experience in online learning has been shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to the pandemic, Fielding Graduate University shifted their classroom courses to the virtual space. This sudden change prompted many questions from educators and administrators about the quality of online learning, cultural values, community-building, and accreditation concerns.
Chen edited Chapter 12 of The Handbook of Online Learning in Higher Education, which captures the experience of leading educators and professionals in online learning during the pandemic. In the chapter, Chen argues that online learning will become an integral part of higher education in the future.
