Nicholas Klinger has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 as a Martial Arts Instructor at Defense Arts Academy. Nicholas then worked as a Program Grader at Eastern Washington University from January 2010 to June 2010, followed by a role as a Graduate Instructor from September 2010 to December 2011 at the same institution.
In September 2010, Nicholas embarked on a new venture as a Co-Owner/Instructor at Integrity Martial Arts. Nicholas achieved the APMG 2023 World Champion title in Taekwondo and was responsible for organizing and overseeing large-scale Taekwondo tournaments. Nicholas developed customized lesson plans and taught classes to students of varying ages, utilizing the latest research and psychology to enhance performance and reduce injuries.
In December 2011, Nicholas began their career in the software industry as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern at Verint Next IT. During their internship, they honed their coding skills in C#/.NET and gained experience in executing automated tests with Selenium RC and Selenium WebDriver.
Nicholas then transitioned to a full-time role as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Verint Next IT from December 2011 to May 2013. Nicholas wrote code to monitor error logs and identified vulnerabilities in Windows services using SoapUI.
From May 2013 to January 2017, Nicholas served as a Software Engineer II at Verint Next IT, where they designed and developed code using C#/.NET, T-SQL, NHibernate, and MSBuild scripts. Nicholas consistently improved code efficiency to enhance productivity and collaborated with their team to create simple and maintainable solutions for complex issues. Nicholas also implemented Test-Driven Development (TDD) techniques to ensure code quality.
Following this, Nicholas held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Verint Next IT from January 2017 to October 2019. During this time, they continued to contribute to the development and design of code, focusing on maintaining a proprietary development environment.
Most recently, Nicholas worked as the Team Lead of Engineering at Verint Next IT from October 2019 to June 2021, where they showcased their leadership skills and managed a team of software engineers. Nicholas was responsible for overseeing various engineering projects and ensuring successful outcomes.
Currently, Nicholas holds the role of Manager of Software Engineering at Verint Next IT, starting in June 2021.
Nicholas Klinger obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University from 2010 to 2015.
