Rafik Sandford

Rafik Sandford has an extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rafik started their career as a Branch Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car from September 2000 to March 2004.

Following that, they joined Merck as an Executive Sales Leader in January 2004 and stayed with the company until July 2012. In this role, they managed customer accounts, led a sales team, and utilized marketing strategies to increase product awareness and sales growth.

From July 2012 to May 2013, Rafik worked at Asher Health Management as a Business Development/Sales Manager. Rafik partnered with physicians to provide administrative services and built relationships to generate leads and expand the business.

Next, they joined Next Level Urgent Care, LLC as the Marketing Director in July 2013 and held this position until January 2016. Here, they built the brand from scratch, developed marketing strategies, and performed market research to achieve business goals.

From January 2016 to January 2020, Rafik worked at Gilead Sciences as a Senior Therapeutic Specialty Sales Representative/Interim Regional Director. Rafik managed sales efforts for Hepatitis B products in South Texas and served as the Interim Regional Director for the Midwest Region.

Most recently, Rafik returned to Next Level Urgent Care, LLC, this time as a Regional Manager. Rafik led business operations and sales initiatives for 12 Urgent Care centers, coaching and mentoring staff members and managing a large team across multiple functions.

In their current role, starting in March 2022, Rafik is responsible for scaling Urgent Care Clinic expansion to new markets, with plans to open 14 clinics in the San Antonio/Austin area and 30 in Houston. Overall, Rafik Sandford has a strong track record of leadership and success across different industries and roles.

Rafik Sandford attended the University of North Texas from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Public Relations.
