Our mission is to support growth-stage companies creating sustainable technologies by close partnering and integration of our team of experienced engineers to deliver quality outcomes for the range of complex challenges faced in commercialization. Next Rung Technology provides consulting and execution services to organizations developing and delivering sustainable technologies. After recognizing the urgent need for sustainable technologies to address our global climate, energy, population, and food challenges Next Rung Technology was founded in 2017. Next Rung was started as a consulting practice by John Ellersick, an entrepreneur, chemical engineer, and organizational leader in technology commercialization in the bioproducts, emerging water technologies, and energy sectors. In 2018 the founding team was completed when Herve Garant joined with his R&D and scaleup expertise, Linda Rauch with her engineering leadership and skills, and Leah Stahmann with her water technology commercialization focus. Next Rung Technology is based in Greentown Labs, the United States’ largest business incubator for Cleantech. With a team that brings more than 100 years of experience developing technologies in the energy, renewables, water treatment, and environmental sectors, Next Rung has worked throughout the United States, and on four continents.
