Philip Ahl is a Process Engineer at Next Rung Technology, where Philip provides process development and execution strategy for sustainable technology companies in the bio, water, and energy sectors. With experience in technical support, technical drawings, equipment process design, cost estimation, and project scheduling. Previously, Philip worked as a Process Engineer Coop at 24M Technologies, focusing on improving the scale-up process of Lithium-ion battery technology. Philip also served as an Assistant Equipment Manager at Northeastern University and as a Research Assistant at Università degli Studi di Cagliari, specializing in electrochemical techniques for nanostructure synthesis. Philip holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.

In 2018 the founding team was completed when Herve Garant joined with his R&D and scaleup expertise, Linda Rauch with her engineering leadership and skills, and Leah Stahmann with her water technology commercialization focus. Next Rung Technology is based in Greentown Labs, the United States’ largest business incubator for Cleantech. With a team that brings more than 100 years of experience developing technologies in the energy, renewables, water treatment, and environmental sectors, Next Rung has worked throughout the United States, and on four continents. Next Rung has completed projects in a wide variety of industries including alternative proteins, sustainable building materials, emerging water and biosolids technologies, and next-generation materials.
