In 2008, they also participated in the U.C. Berkeley Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute Fellowship program at the University of California, Berkeley, Goldman School of Public Policy.

In 2011, Sergio attended the Yale School of Management, where they completed the Yale SOM Global Pre-MBA Leadership Program.

Most recently, Sergio enrolled in the Stanford University Graduate School of Education in 2017 and completed their studies in 2018. Sergio pursued a degree in Learning Sciences, specializing in Learning, Design, and Technology.
