David McHugh

David McHugh, CPA has a strong work history in finance and accounting. David currently serves as the Corporate Controller at NextCure, Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Agile Therapeutics as the Director of SEC Reporting from September 2020 to June 2022. In this role, they managed the accounting staff and was responsible for financial results and SEC reporting. David also led the company's efforts in documenting and implementing SOX and implemented automated equity accounting software (E*Trade). Before joining Agile Therapeutics, David worked as a Business Consultant from March 2019 to August 2020.

David's extensive experience also includes serving as the VP Finance at CSS Industries, Inc. from February 2011 to June 2018. In this position, they managed the entire finance function for the company and had ultimate responsibility for all accounting and financial reporting. David was also a key member of the management team with expertise in acquisition diligence, accounting, and integration.

Prior to CSS Industries, David worked at Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated as part of the Corporate Finance team, focusing on special projects from February 2010 to January 2011. David also had a significant role at ICT Group, where they served as the SVP Finance from April 1998 to February 2010. During this time, they built and managed a global finance team, facilitated the company's significant growth, and negotiated various types of financing.

David's earlier career experience includes working as the Corporate Accounting/Tax Manager at American Packaging Corporation from October 1988 to April 1998. David began their career as an Audit Senior at Deloitte, where they worked from September 1983 to October 1988.

David McHugh, CPA obtained a BS Accountancy degree in Accounting from Villanova University, where they studied from 1980 to 1983.
