Dean Thompson

Dean Thompson is an accomplished Cyber Security professional with over 20 years of experience in Cyber and Information Security. Currently serving as the Tech Area Lead / Head of Department for Cyber Defence at ANZ, Dean oversees operational Cyber Security needs and is involved in implementing the Cyber Transformation Program to enhance security maturity. Dean has previously held roles such as Senior Manager of Cyber Security Intelligence Operations at ANZ and network engineering positions across various organizations, including the Sydney Olympics. Holding a PhD in Computer Science from Monash University, Dean regularly speaks at conferences and provides advisory support to venture capitalists regarding technology investments.
