Joris van der Tang

Joris van der Tang is an experienced Services Manager at NEXTDC since March 2018, bringing a rich background in engineering from various luxury motor yachts. Between 2011 and 2018, Joris held the role of Chief Engineer on multiple vessels, including the 78-meter Motor Yacht Amaryllis, the 60-meter Motor Yacht Elandess, and the 45-meter Motor Yacht Harle, where responsibilities included equipment management and departmental oversight. Earlier in a career that began following training in carpentry, Joris served as 2nd Engineer on the Motor Yacht Apoise and transitioned from deckhand roles to Chief Engineer on the Motor Yacht Andiamo. Joris's technical education includes a Cert III in Telecommunications Technology from Comtech Training and a degree from Warsash Maritime Academy, reflecting a strong foundation in yacht engineering.
