Erik Ludtke is the Chief Commercial Officer at NextDecade. Erik is responsible for developing and managing the natural gas supply portfolio, the midstream assets and the commercial operations required to provide NextDecade's customers with reliable liquefied natural gas ("LNG") from NextDecade's Rio Grande LNG and Galveston Bay LNG Projects.

Erik has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining NextDecade, they were the SVP - Commercial and Business Development at NorthStar Midstream, where they were responsible for the commercialization of existing assets and development of new midstream business opportunities. Erik has also worked in business development and acquisitions for Oaktree Capital. During their time at NorthStar Midstream, Erik was instrumental in the development of the NST Express crude oil pipeline (FERC regulated) and storage facility, as well as the Seahawk Marine Terminal in Point Comfort, TX.

Erik received their MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and their BA from Whitman College. Erik is a CFA Charterholder.

Erik Ludtke graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University. Erik then went on to complete an Executive Development Program at The Wharton School. Finally, Erik Ludtke completed the Wharton Global Leadership Series East Asia Forum | The International Forum – Kyoto, Japan at The Wharton School.
