Ryan Barrett

Ryan Barrett has been working as a Software Engineer at Nextdoor since April 2022. Before that, they worked at Insight Global from May 2021 to March 2022, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Insight Global, they built a GraphQL API, worked on ETL of legacy data, and built a messaging interface using RabbitMQ. Prior to that, Ryan was a Software Engineer at PwC from June 2020 to June 2021, where they used Java, NodeJS, Azure, Couchbase, and PostgreSQL to build a new central platform and implemented a two-way sync between Jira projects and the core platform. Before joining PwC, Ryan was a Software Engineer at Insight Global from August 2019 to June 2020. Additionally, they worked at ZapLabs, where they were a Software Engineer from January 2019 to June 2019 and served as a Software Engineer Intern from June 2018 to August 2018. During their time at ZapLabs, Ryan worked with Java, AWS, and MySQL, built prototypes for new product discovery, and developed market-leading consumer web applications. As an intern, they created web components, fixed bugs, created tests, and built features for the Zap CRM platform.

Ryan Barrett obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from California State University, Monterey Bay. Additionally, they earned a certification as an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019.
