Rong Yang

Rong Yang, Ph.D., P.Eng, currently serves as an R&D Electromagnetics Engineer at Nexteer Automotive since September 2022. Previous experience includes roles as an Electromagnetic Design Engineer at Stellantis, a Multiphysics Simulation Engineer at Turntide Technologies, and a Mechanical Design Engineer at BorgWarner Inc. Notably, Rong Yang worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the McMaster Automotive Resource Center, where involvement included prototyping traction motors for Fiat Chrysler Auto and building high-speed test setups. Educational credentials comprise a Ph.D. in Electric Machine Design from McMaster University, alongside a Master's Degree in Structural Analysis and Optimization from Xi'an Jiaotong University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from the same institution.
