Pj Zonsius

PJ Zonsius, MBA has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, starting in 2007 with a sales role at Ashland Inc. In 2009, they joined Gas South as a Sr. Account Manager, later becoming a Sr. Commercial Account Executive responsible for business development and acquisition of large commercial and industrial customers. During their time at Gas South, PJ also served as the Director of LC&I & Renewables - Business Development, where they led strategic business development initiatives and achieved significant revenue growth.

In 2016, PJ joined 3Ci as the Director of Business Development, where they launched a sales training division and initiated the Tech Heroes program providing opportunities for veterans in technology. PJ then started their own consulting business, Zons Consulting, in 2017, focusing on leadership, business, real estate, and community.

Continuing their career in the energy industry, PJ returned to Gas South in 2017 as the Director of LC&I & Renewables - Business Development. PJ successfully originated and brokered the PESCO acquisition, which increased company revenues and operating margin. PJ also achieved impressive revenue growth and sales performance within their team during this time.

PJ's involvement in the energy sector expanded further as they became the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Natural Gas Association of Georgia in 2019. In this role, they spearheaded various initiatives, including advocacy efforts and the promotion of renewable natural gas (RNG) development in Georgia. PJ was also elected as the Vice Chair of the national Natural Gas Association for 2021-2022 and later became the Chair for 2022-2023.

PJ is currently a Vice President and General Manager of Retail Gas at NextEra Energy Services, overseeing the Retail Gas business, including FPLES gas, Vanguard Energy Services, and Frontier Utilities. PJ has full P&L responsibility in this role.

PJ Zonsius, MBA obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership, Global Business Strategy, Finance, and Accounting from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from The University of Georgia in 2007. In 2005, PJ Zonsius also studied abroad at the University of Oxford. Additionally, they served as a Guest Lecturer in Sales at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from an unspecified year until 2020. In 2011, they completed the Sales Leadership Academy at the same institution and received a Certificate of Sales Leadership.
