Bill Spanks

Bill Spanks is an experienced professional in the energy and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Information Technology Manager for Innovation Data & Enterprise Architecture at NextEra Energy, Inc. since October 2007. Bill has held various positions within the company, including Technology Manager for Solar and Storage at NextEra Analytics and Principal Engineer for Combustion Turbines and Solar Reliability. His extensive background includes a role as the Sr Maintenance Specialist for a new combined cycle plant and expertise as the Principal Combustion Turbine Engineer for a fleet exceeding 12,000 MW. Prior to NextEra, Bill worked as a Sr Mechanical Engineer at Florida Turbine Technologies Inc., focusing on gas turbine engine design and quality systems. Bill began his career at GE Energy in Product Service and as a Mechanical Engineer at Pratt & Whitney. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University.
