Edwin Rivas

Edwin Rivas is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the PGD Engineering Leader for Wind Reliability & Controls at NextEra Energy, Inc. since January 2023. Previously, Edwin held the position of Senior PGD Engineer in Wind Controls & SCADA at the same company from March 2004 to January 2023. Edwin began his career as a Senior IT Systems Administrator at NextEra Energy and also worked as a Management Information Systems Coordinator at Custom Building Products between July 1999 and August 2001. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida International University, and an Associate in Science in Computer Engineering from Miami Dade College.
