Olivier Thiss

Olivier Thiss is a Solar Project Engineer at NextEra Energy, Inc. since November 2022, previously serving as a Substation Field Engineer and Solar Electrical Field Construction Coordinator at Blattner Energy from May 2021 to September 2022. In these roles, Olivier contributed to the construction of a 34.5Kv – 345Kv substation and a 330 MW solar farm, while efficiently tracking production and materials. Olivier has experience as a Teaching Assistant at North Dakota State University, teaching electrical engineering fundamentals, and has conducted undergraduate research on solid-state electrolytes under Dr. Qifeng Zhang. Olivier holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University, obtained in 2021, and has additional experience in customer service and first aid as a server and lifeguard.
