Sam Zhang

Sam Zhang is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in medical device development and engineering management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager and previously as Sr R&D Engineer at Nextern since April 2017, Sam has focused on pneumatic pump and valve manifold development. Prior to this role, Sam worked at Johnson Medtech from February 2011 to April 2017 as Sr Mechanical Design Engineer, where contributions included designing drive subsystems for various medical devices. Earlier experience includes positions at Stanley Black & Decker, KHGEARS, and Techtronic Industries, involving product value engineering, gearbox development, and project engineering for power tools. Sam holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation from Wuhan Institute of Technology.
