Mike Avenell

Mike Avenell is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in process development and manufacturing, particularly in the semiconductor and solar industries. Currently serving as a Process Development Engineer at NextFlex since June 2018, Mike previously held positions as a Manufacturing Engineer at NuvoSun, and an NPL and Manufacturing Process Engineer at HGST, where Mike specialized in magnetic recording media processes. Earlier roles include Senior Principal Engineer at WD, where Mike developed sputtering processes, and various leadership and engineering positions at Komag, overseeing sputter manufacturing operations and managing teams. Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
