Nick Morris

Deputy Director Of Technology at NextFlex

Nick Morris has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nick is currently the Deputy Director of Technology at NextFlex, where they started in February 2024. Prior to this role, they worked as the FHE Technology Manager at NextFlex from December 2020 to February 2024.

Before joining NextFlex, Morris worked at UES, Inc. from March 2017 to December 2020. Nick held the positions of Business Development Manager from July 2019 to December 2020 and Research Scientist from March 2017 to December 2020.

From 2014 to 2017, Morris worked at Protea Biosciences, starting as a Nanofabrication Engineer from February 2014 to March 2016, and then becoming a Principal Engineer from March 2016 to March 2017.

In terms of academic experience, Morris was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at West Virginia University from June 2010 to May 2015. Nick also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University from June 2007 to December 2008.

Additionally, Morris gained research experience as a Visiting Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Birmingham in June and July 2009, and as a Visiting Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Birmingham in June and July 2008.

Earlier in their career, Morris worked as an Applications Engineer Intern at CSM Instruments from January to May 2009.

Nick Morris obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from West Virginia University, where they attended from 2005 to 2008. Nick then pursued further education at the same institution and successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering in the years 2009 to 2015.
