Brian Smith

Brian Smith is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in test automation and quality assurance. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer in Test at NextGear Capital since January 2018, Brian previously held positions including Senior Software Test Engineer and Test Automation Consultant at Fusion Alliance, where expertise in automated web testing and best practices was developed. Prior experience includes roles as Senior QA Analyst at ChaCha, Automation Test Engineer at The AME Group, and Broadcast Journalist in the US Army, where deployment occurred in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology from IUPUI and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Technology from Purdue Global.
