Emmy Preston

Emmy Preston, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Emmy began their career at Indiana University as a Student Intern, where they were responsible for maintaining budgets for construction projects. Emmy then joined Mack Financial Group, where they worked in New Business/Underwriting for two years. In 2008, Emmy joined Dealer Services Corporation as a Staff Accountant and progressed to the role of Accounting Manager. Emmy continued working in accounting roles when Dealer Services Corporation merged with Manheim Automotive Financial Services to form NextGear Capital. Emmy held various positions at NextGear Capital, including Accounting Manager and eventually Director of Accounting. During their time at NextGear Capital, Emmy managed daily accounting functions, cash management, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and month-end processes. Emmy also played a crucial role in the merger with Manheim Automotive Finance, training new hires and implementing new processes.

Emmy Preston, MBA, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University Bloomington, where they majored in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Emmy attended the university from 2002 to 2006. In 2021, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Arizona Global Campus, specializing in Business Administration and Management.

Emmy has also acquired additional certifications throughout their career. In 2015, they obtained the Franklin Covey Speed of Trust certification from Cox Automotive Inc. Emmy also completed the Buckley School of Public Speaking certification in the same year. In 2014, they achieved the Franklin Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People certification from Cox Automotive Inc. Additionally, they hold an Indiana Life, Accident & Health Insurance License obtained from the Indiana Department of Insurance in 2008.
