Shelby Purdum

Shelby Purdum is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in media relations and marketing. Currently serving as the National Press Secretary at NextGen America, Shelby has also held roles such as State Press Secretary and Media Relations Manager within the same organization since January 2022. Previous experience includes positions as Marketing Coordinator at EideCom and Producer for Meeting Minds Podcast. At Camp Mishawaka, Shelby contributed as Social Media Coordinator and Head of Sailing, while also serving as Student Government Chief of Communications at Connecticut College, where Shelby produced weekly newsletters and engaged with the student body. Additional roles include internships with U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and local journalism, as well as leadership experience as Captain of Varsity Women's Rowing. Shelby holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Connecticut College.
