Fares S. Awwad (BSBA, MBA, EMBA)

Fares S. Awwad has over 30 years of work experience, holding various leadership roles in finance and management. Fares S. is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at NextgenID since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Partner and Board Member at Sanadeeg starting from August 2017.

Before joining Sanadeeg, Fares served as a Member of the Board at SLOWCOLOR since April 2010. Fares S. also founded and served as the CEO of their independent private investment company from May 2010 to February 2022.

From October 2015 to December 2021, Fares worked at Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES) as the Deputy Group CEO, overseeing Financial, Administrative, and Legal Affairs. Prior to that, they held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Agrimatco - Miqdadi Group from May 2014 to September 2015.

Fares has also gained experience as the CFO at X3M International from October 2010 to December 2012. Fares S. worked as a Financial Consultant and Interim CFO at EastNets from January 2009 to October 2009, and also served as a Member of the Audit Committee within the Board of Directors during the same period.

In addition, Fares has an extensive background with West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp. (Division of Hikma Pharma). Fares S. served as the General Manager, Director of Business Development, and Logistics from March 2006 to December 2008. Prior to that, they held the role of CFO, overseeing various departments, including finance, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, HR, IT, sales, and inventory control. Fares S. was also involved in the IPO process. Furthermore, Fares worked as a Financial Officer/Controller at West-Ward from September 1991 to January 1999.

Fares has also worked as the CFO of Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Division (West-ward, USA) from an unspecified date in 2003 to 2005.

Fares S. Awwad holds a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (BSBA) degree, with a major in Accounting and Economics, from American University - Kogod School of Business, which they completed between 1984 and 1987. Fares S. then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance and International Relations, at the same institution from 1987 to 1989. Later, in 2008 and 2009, Fares attended two executive MBA programs. The first was at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where they earned an Executive MBA focusing on Management, Leadership, and Strategy. The second program was at Esade, where they completed a Global Executive MBA with a concentration on Management, Leadership, and Strategy.
