Chief Executive Officer at Nextivity

Michiel Lotter has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles in the telecommunications industry. Michiel started their career in 1995 as the Manager of Network Engineering at Alcatel Altech Telecoms. In 2000, they co-founded Zyray Wireless, where they served as the VP of Engineering and played a key role in developing a unique WCDMA co-processor ASIC solution. This solution was integrated by Infineon Technologies and formed the basis of Broadcom Corp. In 2004, Michiel joined Broadcom Corporation as the Senior Director of Engineering, responsible for creating reference handset platforms for various wireless technologies. Since 2007, they have been with Nextivity, initially as the CTO and VP of Engineering and currently as the Chief Executive Officer. At Nextivity, Michiel led the development of three generations of a Smart Signal Booster, which is now approved for use in over 130 Mobile Networks in 66 countries. Michiel also has a deep understanding of the product approval process in major mobile networks.

Michiel Lotter earned their PhD in Wireless Communication from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Michiel attended the university from 1989 to 1999.
