Syed Mateen

Syed Mateen has a extensive work experience in the field of RF engineering. Currently, they hold the position of Principal RF Engineer at Nextivity, where they have been employed since 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior RF Staff Engineer at Nextivity starting in 2018 as well.

Before their time at Nextivity, Syed worked at Qualcomm as an RF Hardware Design Engineer from 2016 to 2018. Syed'srole involved the bring up of Qualcomm IOT chipsets and reference boards, as well as providing support for current optimization and reference hardware development for new chipsets used in IoT/IoE products.

Syed also held positions at Aethercomm as a Sr. RF Engineer in 2015, at Microsoft as a Sr. RF Engineer from 2014 to 2015, at Nokia as a Sr. RF Engineer in 2014, at Blackberry as an RF Design Engineer from 2010 to 2013, at GE Healthcare as an RF Engineer from 2009 to 2010, at Freescale Semiconductor Inc. as an RF Systems and Applications Engineer from 2007 to 2009, at Badger Meter as a Sr. RF Design Engineer from 2001 to 2007, and at Motorola as an RF Design and Development Engineer from 1997 to 2001.

Syed Mateen obtained a BS in Electronics and Communication from Osmania University. Following that, they pursued an MS in Electrical Engineering at the National Technological University from 1999 to 2004.
