Katherine Phelan is a skilled Speech Pathologist with extensive experience in supporting Deaf children at the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) since March 2016. Previously, Katherine provided Speech Pathology services through Ageing Disability and Home Care from June 2015 to July 2017 and worked as a Disability Support Worker at Cerebral Palsy Alliance from September 2014 to May 2015. Katherine's career also includes translation work for Shamrock Idiomas Ltda and a professional internship at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, where research focused on compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Additional roles include administrative support at the Embassy of Spain in Canberra and captioning supervision for ABC News. Katherine holds a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney, along with multiple degrees from The Australian National University, including a Master's in International Law and Bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Asian Studies.
