Waruna de Silva

Waruna de Silva has been working in the software engineering field since 2007. In 2007, they were a Software Developer Intern at Ceylon Linux. In 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer R&D at the Sri Lanka Technology Incubator. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Freelance Software Developer. In 2011, they were a Research Assistant at the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology. In 2012, they were a Research Assistant at the Aalto University Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Senior Software Engineer at NextShift, and since 2020 they have been a Lead Application Engineer at Paro AI, Inc.

Waruna de Silva attended Curtin University from 2005 to 2008, earning a B.Sc in Information Technology. In 2010, they began a Masters program at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Design, Interaction and Game Technologies, which they are still currently enrolled in.
