Darrell Potie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Darrell started their career in 1992 as the owner of Metro Seal, a powerwashing company that provided services to both residential and commercial clients in the greater Detroit area. After three years, they joined K2 Sports as a Brand Ambassador, where they managed a territory of retail accounts and promoted the brand through training and demonstrations.
In 1999, Potie transitioned to the IT industry and joined New Horizons Computer Learning Centers as a Senior Account Executive. In this role, they developed training solutions for organizations in the fields of IT, desktop applications, and business skills. Darrell also worked as a Sales Manager, coaching a team of Account Executives and participating in sales calls. Potie stayed with New Horizons until 2007.
Next, Potie joined Analysts International, later known as DBA Netarx, as an Account Manager. Darrell helped develop customer relationships and provided technology solutions for various IT services, including application development, managed IT and hosting, IP communications, security, and infrastructure solutions. Darrell stayed with the company until 2011.
From 2011 to 2019, Potie worked at Logicalis as an Account Executive, focusing on IT solutions, services, managed services, and cloud services. Logicalis partnered with major OEMs and helped businesses transform in the face of new challenges.
Currently, Potie works at Nexum, Inc as an Account Executive. Nexum specializes in security and secure networking, offering expertise in over 20 areas of security. They partner with top OEMs to help their customers protect their organizations and customers. Potie joined the company in 2019 and their role is ongoing.
Darrell Potie's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. During their time at the university, they studied marketing, management, logistics, and statistics. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in different fields throughout the years.
