Jean Carlos Giraldo

Jean Carlos Giraldo has a diverse work experience in various industries. Jean Carlos began their career as an Assistant Store Manager at GameStop from October 2011 to June 2016, where they supervised sales activities and provided customer service. Jean Carlos then transitioned into the field of security, working as a Transportation Security Officer at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) from September 2016 to May 2018. In this role, they challenged suspicious individuals and maintained security in the airport. Following this, they served as a Police Officer at Saugus PD from September 2018 to February 2020. Jean Carlos'sresponsibilities included maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and investigating incidents.

To further develop their skills in cybersecurity, Jean Carlos attended the CyberWarrior Academy from January 2021 to August 2021. During this intensive training program, they acquired knowledge in various areas such as firewalls, vulnerability management, incident response, and security automation. Currently, they are working as a Network Security Analyst at Nexum, Inc. since June 2021. Jean Carlos'srole involves preventing network attacks, monitoring threat data, and conducting research using OSINT tools. Jean Carlos Giraldo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from UMass Boston from 2011 to 2018. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Applied Sociology from UMass Boston from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Jean Carlos obtained several certifications, including LogRhythm Security Analysts (LRSA) Certification from LogRhythm in January 2022, CompTIA Network+ from CompTIA in March 2023, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certificate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2022.
