Jim Zimmerling is an experienced Generator Controls Software Engineer currently employed at Nexus Controls, a Baker Hughes business, since January 2015. Previously, Jim held the same title at Baker Hughes for a brief period in January 2015, focusing on GE Excitation Software Development. Prior to this, Jim worked as a Generator Controls Excitation Software Engineer at GE Oil & Gas from July 2000 to January 2015, specializing in electrical design for GE Excitation retrofits. Jim's earlier career includes serving as a Controls Field Engineer, providing field service for Woodward/GE Turbine and Excitation Controls, and worked as a Turbine Controls Field Engineer at Woodward Governor Co from November 1998 to July 2000.
