Marcio Marques has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Marcio started their career at GE Aviation, where they held positions as an Engineer and later as an Engineering Manager. In these roles, they implemented multiple Six-Sigma projects and ensured the conformance of metallurgical processes in the repair shop.
Marcio then moved on to GE Oil & Gas, where they worked as an Engineering Director for the Latin America region, focusing on digital solutions. After that, they joined Tenaris as the R&D General Director for Brazil, leading research and development efforts.
Marcio then returned to General Electric and worked in multiple roles, including a Business Development Director for the Energy Segment at GE Global Research and a Senior Engineering Manager at GE Oil & Gas.
More recently, Marcio has worked at Baker Hughes and its subsidiary, Nexus Controls, serving as an Engineering Director for various control solutions and projects in the Americas. Currently, they are the Projects Engineering Director at GE Vernova, focusing on GE Gas Power Controls.
Marcio Marques obtained a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Marcio then pursued an MBA in Business and People Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2005 to 2007. In addition, Marcio Marques obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from GE in December 2001.
