Rex Horvath is a highly experienced professional in the field of mechanical engineering and project management, currently serving as a Commercial Application Engineer at GE Vernova since September 2018. Prior to this role, Rex held positions such as Project Engineer at Baker Hughes, where responsibilities included technical leadership for gas turbine controls upgrade projects, and Systems Engineer at Xcel Energy, focusing on long-term planning and equipment reliability for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. Rex also has extensive experience as a Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer at EthosEnergy, managing turbine control retrofit projects and leading technical direction on various upgrade projects, and as a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer at GE Power, where Rex designed mechanical components for turbine upgrades. Early career experience includes a decade at Woodward, Inc., where Rex designed mechanical interface equipment for turbine control system upgrades. Rex earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University.
