Hugh Karp

Hugh Karp has over 18 years of experience in the finance industry. Hugh began their career in 2002 as an Actuary for MLC & NAB Wealth, where they held various roles mainly focused in Life Insurance, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Manager of the Life Insurance Retail Pricing Team, and a role in the Valuation Team. In 2012, they joined Munich Re as their CFO Life, UK & Ireland, a role in which they managed a team of roughly 10 actuarial staff and was responsible for monitoring and reporting on the UK Life business' financial position under IFRS, MCEV, Solvency II, and other reporting bases. Hugh also provided evaluation and advice on ad-hoc business proposals. In 2017, Hugh Karp founded Nexus Mutual.

Hugh Karp completed a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (BActS) at The Australian National University between 1998 and 2001. Hugh also holds a certification as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia from the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
