Suprita Tawde

Suprita Tawde has a diverse range of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Suprita started their career at Cipla as an R&D Formulation Development Scientist from September 2005 to July 2008. Suprita then obtained their Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Mercer University, where they focused on microparticulate-based ovarian cancer vaccines and protein formulations. During their time at Mercer University from August 2008 to August 2012, they worked on various projects involving formulation development and in-vivo evaluation using analytical techniques. Suprita then joined Akorn, Inc as a Formulation Research Scientist from September 2012 to July 2015, followed by a promotion to Senior Formulation Scientist II from July 2015 to November 2016 and finally as a Group Lead for Formulation R&D from November 2016 to July 2017. Currently, they are the Head of Formulation and Development at Nexus Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a position they have held since August 2017.

Suprita Tawde holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Mercer University, which they obtained between the years 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the field of Pharmaceutics at Bharati Vidyapeeth. Suprita also obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Patent Law from the National Academy of Legal studies and research University in Hyderabad, India in July 2007. Suprita has additional certifications, including a Toastmasters Competent Communicator Award from Mercer University in April 2012 and a Pharmacy Teaching Certificate Program from Mercer University in July 2011.
