Chathurani Vithanage is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as an Assistant Planner at Nexus Planning since June 2023. Previous roles include Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer for the USAID-funded Clean Cities Blue Ocean Project at SEVANATHA Urban Resource Centre, and Planning Officer for the Coca-Cola Foundation-funded PET Plastic Collection and Recycling Project in Sri Lanka. Chathurani has also lectured on Fundamentals of Business Economics at the Circle Institute of Business & Technology and contributed as a Project Assistant in several initiatives, including an ADB-funded study on Transit Oriented Development at the University of Moratuwa. Chathurani's academic credentials include a Master of Urban Planning from the University of the West of England and a degree in Town & Country Planning from the University of Moratuwa, along with a Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA.
