Melody Alford

Melody Alford, M.S., LPC, serves as a Children’s Therapist at Nexus Recovery Center since December 2017, specializing in therapeutic support for youth. Previously, Melody worked as a Therapist at Addiction Campuses and gained valuable experience as a Clinical Intern at The Family Place. Early professional roles include a Graduate Assistant/Advisor at Tarleton State University, where academic plans for transfer students were evaluated, and a Hotline Advocate at the Advocacy Center, providing crucial support to victims of sexual assault. Melody has also cared for children with developmental delays at Respite Care and conducted supervised play therapy sessions at Talitha Koum Therapeutic Nursery. Education includes a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University.
